Golden Wedding Anniversaries of Badalona Couples at the Olimpic Arena

The Olimpic Arena in Badalona is not only an iconic sports and events venue in the city, but also a gathering point to celebrate the traditions and community spirit that define Badalona. This year, the Arena hosted an emotional edition of Les Noces d’Or, a celebration dedicated to couples marking 50 years of partnership, in recognition of their commitment and shared history. Since its inception in 1986, this event has brought generations together, and its move to the Olimpic Arena highlights the connection between Badalona’s cultural heritage and its most representative venues.

The Noces d’Or is a beloved citywide celebration that has been held since 1986, warmly embraced by the local community. Since 2015, this event, where Badalona’s couples receive recognition from the city, has continued to be organized by the Department of Elderly Services. The celebration is a tribute to all couples in Badalona who, between January 1 and December 31 of the current year, reach their 50-year anniversary.

The event includes a light afternoon meal followed by a dance with live orchestral music, and each couple receives a small gift to commemorate their special date, along with a raffle for an additional gift for all participating couples.

This year, the CELEBRATION OF 50 YEARS OF PARTNERSHIP OF BADALONA COUPLES was held at the Olimpic Arena in Badalona. The mayor greeted each honored couple one by one.
