RICKY GERVAIS RETURNS TO SPAIN WITH HIS NEW SHOW ‘LEGEND’

THE BRITISH COMEDIAN WILL PERFORM ON 27 FEBRUARY 2027 AT OLIMPIC ARENA BADALONA IN BARCELONA Ricky Gervais will perform on 27 February 2027 at Olimpic Arena Badalona in Barcelona with ‘Legend’, his new stand-up show, in a one-off date in Spain. After kicking off the tour in September 2026 with an initial run of shows in the UK, all of which sold out, Gervais will continue performing ‘Legend’ around the world until the end of 2027. As part of this first batch of European dates for 2027, Gervais will perform at major venues in cities including Antwerp, Barcelona, Lisbon, Vienna, Paris, Zagreb, Amsterdam, Zurich and Stockholm. The tour will continue to expand, with new dates to be announced soon across Europe, the UK and North America. Gervais’s four previous tours, ‘Humanity’, ‘Supernature’, ‘Armageddon’ and ‘Mortality’, broke box office records and topped Netflix charts following their release. ‘Armageddon’ and ‘Mortality’ earned Ricky a Golden Globe in the ‘Stand-Up Comedy on Television’ category in 2024 and 2026, respectively. «This is my most personal show to date and, since both cancel culture and most of the people I knew growing up are dead, I can now really say whatever the hell I want», says Gervais.

The new tour also comes with a deal with Netflix, which acquired the rights to stream the show even before it had begun. The streaming platform has acquired ‘Legend’ for an undisclosed sum, although the comedian adds: «I’m not going to say how much I’m being paid this time, but I can say it’s my favourite deal so far».

Once again, Gervais will donate part of the proceeds from tour ticket sales to charities. At the end of his Mortality tour in 2025, he donated £2.43 million to animal welfare charities around the world.
