Grupo5 is an iconic cumbia orchestra from Peru with 53 years of artistic trajectory.

They began in the 1970s recording ballads and later, in the 1980s, influenced by the tropical scene, started recording cumbia with their own distinctive style, which would become decisive for the country’s musical culture in terms of rhythmic patterns and flavor when performing this genre in Peru. They received awards and gold records for their discographic productions, earning recognition as the “Golden Group of Peru.”

Currently, Christian’s talent and the experience of his brothers Elmer and Andy were reflected in the mega-concerts they presented in 2022 at Parque de la Exposición, where Noche de Oro was held with three sold-out shows. More recently, they launched their 2023 tour at the Estadio de San Marcos, also achieving three sold-out shows in celebration of their 50th anniversary.
