Olimpic Arena of Badalona hosts the 21st School Dance Gathering of the city

On the mornings of May 21st, 22nd, and 23rd, Olimpic Arena of Badalona will come alive with music, movement, and smiles during the 21st Badalona School Dance Gathering. Over the course of three mornings, from 9:45 to 11:45 a.m., more than 4,950 children, from preschool (I3) to 4th grade, from 33 schools across the city will meet at our venue to share an unforgettable experience.

This event is much more than a dance showcase. It’s the result of collective work organized by the Music Teachers of Early Childhood and Primary Education of Badalona, with the support of the Pedagogical Resource Center (CRP) of the Department of Education and Vocational Training of the Government of Catalonia, and the Education Department of the Badalona City Council.

The goals of this initiative are both clear and enriching:

  • Bring music closer to children through dance.

  • Spark excitement and responsibility through a shared experience with students from other schools.

  • Foster psychomotor coordination and spatial awareness.

  • Promote intercultural understanding through traditional dances from Catalonia and around the world.

  • Involve the entire educational community: students, teachers, families, local entities, and institutions.

The Gathering also features the collaboration of groups such as Badalona Sardanista, Típic Ball de Bastons de Canyet, Ballet Silvia Pallisera, Escola de Dansa l’Assaig, Club Joventut Badalona, and of course, ourselves — Olimpic Arena of Badalona, proud to host an event that celebrates diversity, culture, and education through movement.

And to top it off, the traditional music group So Nat will perform live for several of the dances, adding even more magic to this celebration of body and soul.
