50th anniversary of the newspaper El Punt Avui

On April 22, the Olimpic Arena in Badalona hosted a major musical celebration marking the 50th anniversary of the newspaper El Punt Avui. Nearly four hours of performances brought together prominent artists from the Catalan music scene such as Els Amics de les Arts, Companyia Elèctrica Dharma, Lluís Llach, Joan Isaac, Sergi Carbonell and Miralls de Dylan, in an evening that combined music, memory and cultural advocacy.

The event opened with an emotional performance of “Els segadors” by the Coral Sant Medir, with the audience standing, and included standout moments such as the return of “Història d’un diari” by Joan Isaac and the appearance of Lluís Llach, who moved the audience with classics such as “Que tinguem sort”. High-energy performances by Companyia Elèctrica Dharma also stood out, alongside more intimate offerings such as Sergi Carbonell’s set.

The closing act was delivered by Els Amics de les Arts, who made the venue vibrate with some of their biggest hits, bringing a festive and participatory night to a powerful close with an enthusiastic audience.

The celebration brought together thousands of attendees in an event that highlighted the language, culture and music of the country, turning the Olimpic Arena into the setting of a memorable commemoration.
