On October 1, 2026, Evanescence returned to Barcelona with a powerful performance, joined by Nova Twins and Poppy, for a night that saw the Olimpic Arena Badalona sell out.

The Olimpic Arena Badalona hosted one of the biggest rock nights of the autumn as Evanescence took to the stage. Led by Amy Lee, the band brought together thousands of fans for a concert defined by musical intensity, spectacular stage production and a setlist combining new material with songs that have accompanied generations of listeners.

Anticipation was high from the moment the date was announced. The response confirmed just how eager fans were to experience Evanescence live in Barcelona once again.

Evanescence in Badalona: a highly anticipated return

Twenty years after their previous performance in Barcelona, Evanescence reunited with their Catalan fans at the Olimpic Arena Badalona. The band used the occasion to showcase their new musical era, with Sanctuary taking centre stage, while also revisiting the anthems that have defined their career.

From the opening notes of Sanctuary, the band delivered a powerful live performance featuring large-scale production, visual effects and staging that matched the intensity of the music.

Amy Lee once again demonstrated her commanding stage presence, alternating moments of sheer intensity with more intimate piano-led passages. The band’s energy and the audience’s response turned the night into a celebration of alternative rock.

"Amy

A setlist blending new songs and rock classics

The concert spanned different eras of Evanescence’s discography. Recent songs such as Afterlife, Rapture and Who Will You Follow shared the setlist with iconic tracks including Going Under, Call Me When You’re Sober and Imaginary.

One of the most eagerly awaited moments came with Bring Me to Life, which had the audience singing along in unison. There was also room for more intimate moments with Lithium and Like You, performed by Amy Lee at the piano.

The closing stretch delivered another of the night’s most memorable images with My Immortal. Amy Lee’s voice and the glow of mobile phone lights illuminated the venue in a moment shared by thousands of concertgoers.

The band closed their performance with Wide Open Heart, bringing the night to a fitting end with a concert that blended nostalgia, new music and the full power of Evanescence live.

Nova Twins and Poppy: two acts that completed the night

The evening began with two special guests who brought their own personality and musical diversity to the bill: Nova Twins and Poppy.

Nova Twins: energy and distortion to kick off the show

British duo Nova Twins opened the night with a sound that blends alternative rock, nu metal and electronic elements. Amy Love and Georgia South brought their attitude to the stage with distorted guitars, heavy bass lines and an energetic stage presence.

Their performance set the tone for a night in which guitars and hard-hitting sounds took centre stage.

Poppy: a blend of metal and experimentation

Next, Poppy brought her distinctive mix of metal, industrial sounds and pop elements to the Olimpic Arena Badalona. Accompanied by a band of masked musicians, she performed songs from her more recent releases, including Negative Spaces and Empty Hands.

Her performance added a more experimental dimension to the bill and set the stage for Evanescence’s arrival.

"Special

A rock night that sold out

The audience’s response was one of the concert’s highlights. Strong ticket demand made it necessary to release additional seats, reflecting the excitement surrounding Evanescence’s return to Barcelona.

Reviews from specialist publications such as Metal Hammer España, RockZone and Stairway to Rock highlighted the power of the live performance, Amy Lee’s stage presence and the spectacular concert production.

On October 1, the Olimpic Arena Badalona became the meeting point for Evanescence fans, who came together for a night of rock, emotion and unforgettable songs.

Thank you to everyone who made this an unforgettable night.
